| John comes from the USA and has been teaching for fifteen years. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and specializes in percussion and woodwind. John has taught Kindergarten through to grade twelve and spent three years teaching ESL in Korea. John is looking forward to developing the whole school music programme, the rock bands and helping with the school shows.

Michael has been teaching since 1986 and has been a Chinese language teacher at Taihu since 2001. Michael has diplomas in engineering and business English. He has taught all levels of Chinese to native speakers and foreigners. Michael is currently studying a Bachelors degree in teaching Chinese.

Wendy is one of our Chinese teachers. She has a Masters degree in teaching Chinese to foreigners and has been teaching Chinese since 2004. She has an excellent knowledge of linguistics, Chinese literature and grammar. Wendy has an interest in calligraphy and singing, two skills she uses in her Chinese lessons. In her class she has used many effective activities such as games, drawing, group work, debating and flash videos. Wendy wants her students to be good inquirers, principled and caring. This is Wendy's first year at Taihu.
