| Emma is here with her partner Shan. She taught for two years in the UK and two years in an international school in Colombia. Emma has a big interest in international cultures and has developed clubs to encourage international mindedness. Emma also has interests in teaching reading, IT and is a qualified swimming instructor. This is Emma’s third year in our school and although she used to teach P6 she is now working part time teaching MYP Technology.

| Shan is from the UK and taught for six years both in England and in an international school in Colombia before joining us here at Taihu in 2009. Shan has Qualified Teacher Status from the UK and has a background in film, photography and computers. He was the ICT coordinator in his last school and is experienced teaching English to second language learners. Shan can also teach street dance and he is a keen footballer. Shan has moved to P6 after teaching P4 for the last two years.

| Lea joins us from an international school in the Philippines. Lea was born in the Philippines and has a Bachelor’s of Science. She is currently studying for her Master’s degree in Science. Lea is a licensed chemist and although she is only teaching Diploma Biology this year she is able to teach Diploma Chemistry.

| Megan comes from Australia and has a Bachelors degree in Primary Education. She has taught diverse groups of students and has attended professional development on aspects of SEN. She joined us in April 2011 to teach the P7 class while Mrs Duncan was away on maternity leave. Megan will be teaching one of our P3 classes this school year.

| Shanna is from New Zealand. She taught primary in the UK for seven years and joined us from the Gulf English School in Qatar. Before she became a teacher she was an outdoor adventure instructor and she has certificates in health and fitness instruction. Last year Shanna completed the Great Wall half marathon.
