| Mrs Hubertus is one of our German teachers. She joined us from the International German School of Wuxi. Their school merged with Taihu in 2009. We are now able to offer German language to students. Mrs Hubertus is a highly experienced teacher and has served as a deputy head in Germany.

| Emma is our P6 Homeroom teacher. She is from the UK and has a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Emma joins us with her husband Shan Ahmed. She taught for two years in the UK and two years in an international school in Colombia. Emma has a big interest in international cultures and has developed clubs to encourage international mindedness. Emma also has interests in teaching reading, IT and is a qualified swimming instructor. Emma currently runs the PYP yearbook club.

| Shan is the P4 Homeroom teacher. He is from the UK and has been teaching for five years both in England and in an international school in Colombia. Shan has Qualified Teacher Status from the UK and has a background in film, photography and computers. He was the ICT coordinator in his last school and is experienced in teaching English to second language learners. Shan can also teach dance.

| Lynn is our P7 homeroom teacher. She is from Florida in the USA and has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with an ESOL qualification. Lynn joins us from Wuxi International Department School where she taught grade 4 and ESL.

| Mr. Simon Edmunds |

Simon teaches MYP Language A, humanities and technology. Simon taught ESL in Taiwan before training as a teacher. He then taught high school history and social studies in New Zealand for five years before joining Taihu last year. Simon comes to us highly recommended by founding principal Don McGregor. Simon has a keen interest in languages, music and technology and is a trained first aider. Simon also taught Muay Thai kickboxing for several years in New Zealand.
