Taihu International School is authorized to offer the PYP and is also authorized to offer the MYP. We gained authorization for the PYP in May 2009 and for the MYP in June 2009. We are also an 'interested' school for the IB Diploma Programme.
H1N1 virus, Jan 20, 2010
Just a reminder that we should all be careful about the H1N1 virus and continue to remind the children to wash their hands frequently, many of our students still need to be reminded of this, and avoid coughing or sneezing onto surfaces. Some doctors recommend gargling with salt water or mouth wash to help prevent the spread of the disease. Similarly, blowing the nose and using salt water to clean the nose and drinking warm liquids may also help. Some parents have asked about the anti H1N1 injections that are being given to teachers in some Chinese schools. At the moment these are only available to schools in New District as the local government was only given a limited supply of the drug. We will let you know if this situation changes. As of today we have not had any new cases of H1N1 in our school and I thank you all for remaining vigilant.
