Taihu International School is now the only fully accredited international school in Wuxi. From 31st July 2010, Wuxi Taihu International School received its full accredited status from the Council of International Schools (CIS) in Europe, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in California and the National Centre for Curriculum and Textbook Development (NCCT) in China. Accreditation is your guarantee that the school reaches an international standard.

Taihu International School also remains the only IB World School in Wuxi with full authorisation for its primary (PYP) and middle (MYP) programmes. It also has candidate status for the IB Diploma programme which it hopes to offer in full from August 2011.

The school merged last year with the International German School of Wuxi (IDSW) and now offers mother tongue classes in German, French and Korean.

During the summer, work is going on to redevelop all three play areas making this the only international school in Wuxi with an astroturf football surface.

For registrations during the holiday the office is open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 15:00. Also, the Principal can be contacted directly on 0086 13915270189. The international school reopens to staff on Monday 16th August and for students on Monday 23rd August.

Located close to scenic Taihu Lake, the area is a tourist spot for Wuxi and new theatres and art galleries are being developed. There are several accommodation areas within walking distance of the international school, therefore a visit is highly recommended.

Our students are highly active in sports, languages and the performing arts as well as concentrating on their academic studies. The city of Wuxi is a friendly place to live and the international school concentrates on being an active part of the community.
