Primary School
The Early Childhood and P3, according to the requirement from PYP is an inquiry based Chinese language program covering a wide range of topics integrated with in Chinese culture and the grade level curriculum. Depending on background, students are placed in the advanced group or the beginners group. The beginners group is for students who do not have a Chinese language background. Communication and culture are focuses for these students to develop their skills in listening, speaking and reading through songs, poems and games. Students in the advanced group will focus on all of the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and simple writing. At this level, children in P1-P2 attend Chinese classes every day for 35 minutes.P3 attend Chinese classes everyday for 45 minutes.

From P4 to P8, an inquiry based Chinese language program covering a wide range of topics is integrated which fosters an understanding and appreciation of our host country. Students are divided to three ability groups: advanced, intermediate and beginners. The beginners group is for students who do not have a Chinese language background. The four language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking are taught in a balanced manner to develop knowledge, skills and understanding about Chinese language and culture. In the intermediate and advanced groups, listening and speaking skills are reinforced while there is a focus on building a good foundation of reading and writing skills. Students attend Chinese class everyday for 45 minutes.
Middle School
In the Middle School, two levels are also offered. Students are placed in either the MYP language A or Language B. Language B is for students who do not have a Chinese language background. The four language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking are taught in a balanced manner to develop knowledge, skills and understandings about Chinese language and culture. In Language A , listening and speaking skills are reinforced while there is a focus on building a good foundation of Chinese literature with reading and writing skills. Each level is divided into two ability groups according to the replacement test, Students attend Chinese classes every day for 45 minutes.
